You are standing out in the purple darkness of the early Denver evening trying to hitch a ride into the city. The sun slowly sets and you wander along the gravel highway should with your thumb out. Eventually someone picks you up and takes you downtown. You get drunk at one of the bars near the convention center and wake up in a hotel room with your clothes and shoes on. Tomorrow will come sooner than you think...
